Dear Ms. Barwick:
The opening reception for the 14th Annual Tallahassee High School Student Art Exhibition & Senior Portfolio Scholarship Competition on display at LeMoyne from April 19 to May 16, 2001, was a huge success. We thank you for you generous contribution of $1500, which enabled us to present a Scholarship to Holly Reimer, a student at SAIL High School, in your name. It was your sponsorship that helped make this show possible.
This exhibit continues to bring in a large and interested group of parents, students, and teachers as well as many other members in our community who appreciate the opportunity LeMoyne offers in showcasing the talents of these young artists in a professional setting. It has become one of our most highly attended annual exhibits.
Eight high schools in Leon County participated in this year's exhibition which displayed the art works of 164 students. Six of those students received $500.00 scholarship awards, and 26 were acknowledged with an Award of Merit or an Honorable Mention Award, as well as a $50.00 gift certificate for art supplies at Bill's Art City.
Enclosed is a program listing the participants, winners and sponsors. We again thank you for your donation (which is tax deductible), and hope you will consider continuing your support for next year's 15th annual high school exhibit.
